It's your wedding, be kind, but don't try to please everyone. Plan the day you and your fiance will love!

1.

If you plan on wearing heels, have an extra pair of comfy shoes handy.

2.

Have your engagement ring cleaned and back from the jewelers before your big day.

3.

Have a crochet hook ready for your dress if it has buttons. If your dress laces up practice lacing it.

4.

Have your seamstress show you AND someone else how to bustle your dress. Colored ribbons work great!

5.

During dress alterations make sure you can sit in the dress.

6.

Discuss with your fiance how you will exit your ceremony after you kiss and walk down the aisle. Will you, release people by row yourselves, will you have a receiveing line, or will you hide until everyone exits and greet guest at the reception. Let ATP know what you prefer.

7.

Designate a friend or family member you trust to help you with wedding day task, incase you might need a hand.

8.

Designate someone who knows how to help you put in or remove your veil if you are wearing one.

9.

Most importantly...SLEEP the night before!

ATP Tips - On the Big Day

First thing first...you MUST eat something, even if its a cracker. Also, feed your wedding party so they are not hangry.

1.

Don't wear a bra the morning of the wedding. Bra straps leave marks on your shoulders and  your back for hours.

2.

Have a designated person for your phone and makeup touch ups, otherwise you WILL lose your phone.

3.

Hey Groom, this is for you, kiss your Bride longer than a millisecond after you say your  "i-do's".

4.

Designate someone to tell all family (that will be in family pictures) to not leave the ceremony site.

5.

Let family members that have mobility issues know they may stay seated where they are after the ceremony until family pictures begin.

6.

Listen to speeches given. Odds are your loved ones are terrified to be speaking in public for you, so smile and pay attention.

7.

A great way to start your reception is immediately cut your cake after you are announced. This way you have all the guest's attention and all eyes are on you. From there the best order we recommend is to start speeches ( you have all the guest attention) so that your wedding party can speak and then just focus on enjoying the evening with you all. Dinner follows speeches, and then dancing!

8.

Make sure to step away for a few moments at the reception, to say "Hi person I just married", and take it all in!

9.

Congratulations, you did it! Now, get back to your party and celebrate, and give yourself the chance to sleep in late tomorrow!
